Dear friends & fans,

I had to veer from the plan a little last month. Instead of driving all over the Midwest I've been enjoying some quality time around Lancaster - taking in some live music, working on some new material and trying to make some money to cover the costs getting my car ready for the next big trip.   Apologies to those of you who had planned to see me in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin or Minnesota. I hope to schedule another trip out your way later this year or early 2013. In the meantime, read on to find out what I'm up to in May!

  • HACKETTSTOWN, NJ: Tuesday, May 8 @ WNTI Radio - appearing live on "Mornings with Melanie" (w/guest host Blair McCloskey), 7-9am, to promote "Muses in the Vineyard " Festival.

BELVIDERE, NJ: Saturday, May 19
Muses in the Vineyard @ Four Sisters Winery, 10am-10:30pm
(a festival of music, of the women, by the women and for EVERYONE!!!), featuring:
I am so excited to share the stage with such a stellar lineup of women at this beautiful event, presented by Foul Rift Productions.  Proceeds benefit the Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Crisis Center (DASACC) children’s program.

Belvidere, NJ is about 45 minutes east of Bethlehem, PA, an hour and a half north of Philadelphia, and an hour west of New York City. Wherever you're coming from, Muses in the Vineyard promises to be well worth the drive. Tickets range from $32-$45 (children under 5 are free), and can be purchased here: musesinthevineyard.eventbrite.com


Holiday in Burlington, Vermont

I'll be in Burlington for Memorial Day weekend, with a fun line-up of shows:
  • Thursday, May 24 @ the Half Lounge (Burgundy Thursdays w/Joe Adler), 7pm
  • Friday, May 25 @ Radio Bean, 9pm
  • Sunday, May 27 @ Radio Bean, 11am (yummy brunch show!)

Summer Preview:

Summer is shaping up to be busy as ever, and full of music (of course). Here are some highlights:
  • June 7 & 9: Central PA shows w/ Heather Maloney Band (6/7 at the Midtown Scholar in Harrisburg; 6/9 at Tellus360 in Lancaster)  
  • June 14: NE Songbirds @ Windjammer Surf Bar in Misquamicut, RI (w/Clara Berry, Kory Erin & Hannah Devine)
  • June 23: Jessica Smucker & The Sleeping World (trio) w/Mandalele @ the Hans Herr House (Lancaster, PA)
  • June 27-July 11: Southern tour with stops in Nashville, Asheville, Atlanta and many points around and in between (see www.jessicasmucker.com/shows.html for complete itinerary)
  • July 14: Songwriter series @ Lancaster Dispensing Co. (w/Leo DiSanto & Jeff Bryson, Dave Lefever and more!)
